The key issue in the personal development of a manager especially when he assumes the role of the leader is to manage time effectively. The role and responsibility of the manager towards his organization about the core values and personal objectives that he possesses must be balanced effectively for the manager
to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. A leader must achieve his tasks by building and maintaining a good team environment and by focusing on the motivations and development of the individuals or subordinates. Coming back to the question of time, and how to manage it effectively to develop personality and skill and to lead the organization in the right direction and to extract maximum profit from your employee, this question needs to be resolved. While commenting on time, there are certain concepts intertwined with Time the first being Space. Time is slippery you need to be efficient to manage and grasp its full potential by utilizing the most of it. The relation between time and space is consequential. Management of time effectively by the manager results in his being in control of space also (regarding expanding business in International markets and extracting profits from customers and improving services) you capture space in International market as you try to manage your time effectively and efficiently.

The first strategy is to develop a personal sense of time by reflecting and reviewing on the past strategies and actions that he took in favor of the company and the actions that proved vital and fatal in the development of his personal and professional skills and were in favor of the company as well. The person can review those decisions and actions for the better and efficient tomorrow. The second task is to keep a time log that keeps you informed about how your time is spent in let us say a week or month. For Example: if you have allocated 25 minutes for your lunch break but instead spent an hour on it. Then it should be mentioned in your time log. You need to know where your time is going. Are you giving the right and proper time to the tasks in order of their relevance to the organizational mission and strategies or are they being neglected by spending time efficiently?
Moreover, yes are you giving important time to your rest and leisure, all these things must be mentioned in the time log. The third target is to plan a day ahead by keeping track of your time every day. The daily plan may take 15 minutes to compile, and in return, you achieve a sense of direction and firm control in your life. Planning for example, at the end of the previous day or maybe at the start of the day ahead. But plan and you will see its positive results in your professional life.

Leadership qualities are considered by many to be vital for the position of authority and commandership. “The leader can assess external drives such as (threats to the business in the form of competitors and opportunities for the development of the company in regional and international markets). As well as the internal drives depended on the organization’s inherent potential and innate qualities of his employee and furthered the values and expectations of the stakeholders from the company and the hope for change. The leader is visionary; he can see the bigger picture and able to translate it into operational actions. Leaders also inspire, they accomplish the task and inspire their subordinates and connect with them thoroughly”. Some belief leaders to be born with this innate quality of leadership in their genes, while some contend that effective leadership comes by learning appropriate behavior. On the other hand, leadership qualities also depend on the situation. The same leader when placed in two contrasting situations may produce different results in each situation, so it depends on the situation and not the leader.

It is here we need a good manager with leadership skills that cater to the multiplicity of the employee. Identify their skills, knowledge, and experience but at the same time insist on the loyalty factor that must be taken into account while evaluating the employee, because an organization demands loyalty from the employee to provide. Both these factors are directly proportional to each other and intensify each other. The manager must assist their subordinates in finding their security with the organization.

There should be enough time assigned to your subordinates so that they can talk about their problems and share them with you. You must listen to them and try to solve their problems effectively and efficiently. The traits that a leader must possess are honesty, inspiring, forward-looking, competent and intelligent, apart from that he must employ appropriate behavior for the achievement of an effective management system in an organization. Last but not the least; he must be able to handle contrasting situations and emergencies to achieve the strategic goals for the company.
